How are the animals raised?

Both the Cattle and Pigs are pasture raised. We use no hormones, no antibiotics and use all non-gmo feed for both cattle and pigs.

What makes your meat better than the grocery store or butcher shop?

The biggest difference will be the flavor. On the beef side, we Dry Age the whole carcass for 21 days, which you wont find in Western Washington and everything at the grocery stores is not Dry Aged and the longest butchers shops in Western WA will dry age is 10 days, most don’t dry age at all. With the pork, everything in the stores is raised on concrete. When the pigs are able to root in the dirt, they get alot of minerals out of the ground and have less stress, resulting in more flavorful meat. We also use the proper protein level feed for pigs so they will grow much quicker than someone using scraps or cheap feed. The meat is more tender and flavorful the quicker you get to market weight. On top of all this, you know what you’re putting in your body, no hormones, no antibiotics and all non-gmo feed.

Is there sugar in your breakfast sausage?

No, only spices!

How soon after ordering will my delivery arrive?

We Deliver each area a certain time of the month. You can see the schedule under “delivery schedule” on the website. So it could be 4 weeks out or could be 2 days away, just depends where you are and what time of the month you place your order. We deliver all year round, so it doesn’t matter when you start or when you place your first order.

Do I have to get delivery every month?

No, you can get delivery as often or as little as you want! Its all in your control. Most customers figure out a quantity that works once a month or every other month. You can pause for as long as you need or simply skip the next delivery if you’re out of town or have too much meat built up.

Where is your farm?

We raise the pigs in Stanwood and my Grandpa raises the cattle in Eastern WA

Is the beef grass fed?

Our beef is raised on pasture so is always getting grass or grass hay. We finish the last months with both Grass and Non-GMO grain so there is marbling and the meat can grade choice or prime. They are always getting a forage(Grass) base and we go slow with the grain for longer which creates more marbling. If you don’t finish with any grain the steaks will be very tough and you can’t Dry Age longer than 7 days without having issues with the carcass.

What is included in a package?

We have several beef packages and a few pork packages. There is a package that can fit any household. If you don’t use steak, we have a ground a medium cut packages. If you don’t use the medium cuts(roasts, stew, brisket, & short ribs) we have a steak and ground beef only package. Many options that can fit everyone. Right before checkout you’re able to select preferences and we will try to include those more often

Can I pick out my cuts?

Somewhat to an extent. You are able to select preferences and we will send those more often, but we don’t do al a carte ordering for steak cuts. We only have our animals to work with so it is much different than a butcher or store that can just buy more rib roasts to cut ribeye steaks or another loin for more T-Bones etc.
